FALL FESTIVUS! This had become an Adams' family tradition while we were in Hawaii, and we always heard really great stories from it, so we were quite excited to join the festivities this year. It was a great mix of family and friends, and people that we have not seen in 4-5 years...perfect for catching up! It turned out to be a perfect day for it (despite the horrid weather predictions and my breaking out jeans and a coat for the occasion), and a fantastic time was had. The main focus of the day was the horseshoe tournament where men and women are randomly paired to compete. Obviously, I lost my first two games, and almost killed Tasha a dozen times with poorly thrown shoes (again, SO SORRY)...but all survived, and I even got a ringer! Yeah, I cried with that one...you would too if you played as badly as I did!
