Hello Everyone...sorry we have been so out of touch...just been busy this month.
Adam went back to Maryland for work at the beginning of the month, and I have pretty much been working a ton due to a staffing shortage. The overtime pay is nice :)
I hosted a baby shower for my friend Julie that was SO fun...I love when people want to be great parents, and are excited to bring children into the world. And no, we are still not having babies ANY time soon.
I finished my Pharmacology class *FINALLY* but ended up with a B+, so much for the 4.0. But only two more classes to go (research and health assessment) and 3 semester of clinical and I am DONE!
The holidays were nice as we spent Christmas day sleeping in and then going to the beach, even trying to see Obama as he and the fam are here vacationing in our town. Yeah, that's all over the news. It is really hard to not be around family for the holidays, but we must thank you all for making us feel so loved at such a great distance!
So some unfortunate news that has been dragging me down, and another reason why I haven't been posting...the chemo didn't work for Elikia. She actually has more cancer cells now than she did before this last round of chemo...and found this out Christmas Eve. We are going to start another round of chemo on her, so please pray. There are two bone marrow matches for her, but we can't get her transplanted until we get rid of the current cancer. This is why my job is so maddening...how can we be SO CLOSE, yet so far. I am having a hard time with it right now...as the odds are REALLY NOT in her favor, bur we all (her, her family, and the staff) are fighting our butts off. Please pray for her.
I promise I will have some currently picts coming shortly, will just need some time.
