A Life Updated: Farewell Midwest, Hello Again East Coast!

Well, here we are again.

Despite all of the hopes and plans that Chicago was our place to settle and live out our lives, life had other plans. For a multitude of reasons, my time at Lurie Children’s Hospital wrapped up in November 2024. With my specialty being so niche, that lends my practice to be in a city, and my wanting (and Adam fully supporting me) to be in a Top 10 Pediatric Oncology organization, that required us to leave Chicago.

After taking some time off to recover my soul and catch up with my life, the exploration and interviewing commenced. Balancing out options, wants, and needs for us, Adam and I landed on Children’s National Hospital….so to Washington D.C. we go!

As of Memorial Day Weekend 2025, we have accepted an offer on our condo in Chicago, are keeping our cabin in the woods in Indiana, and moved into temporary housing in DC until we figure out where we actually want to live.

Here’s to the continuous uncertain adventure that life always seems to be, and has to remind of us sometimes!
