The nice thing about living back on the mainland....making it back to family holiday celebrations! We spent this past weekend in Johnstown with Adam's family, and head to NH tonight for festivities with mine! YAY! We arrived in PA Friday night and immediately went to join family friends at the Elks Club followed by meeting up with Shawna and Jeremy down at Southside. A great night! Saturday was spent preparing for the Christmas Eve feast with Gram Bert's sisters: Aunt Rita and Aunt Midge...always an interesting and hilarious occasion, and attending evening mass. Sunday was again spent in preparation of a feast for Christmas, where almost all of Darlene's family were in attendance. Good people, good times, and good food. My contribution this year was to make the cookies (and I went a bit OVERBOARD, but had fun, and enjoyed reminiscing Gram Helen) and the green bean casserole.
