We are in the house! WE OWN A HOME! As you can probably guess, I am SO EXTREMELY EXCITED!
So we moved in Thursday afternoon, and have been having a blast ever since.
We have spent our dues at Home Depot and Sears, and have been attacking the backyard during our free time. Luckily the house needs no work, minus my OCD cleaning, so all energy is spent on getting our landscaping up to par. We have already cut down one tree, cleaned up all the palm trees, raked a ton...and now comes trying to make the grass green again.
We also are excited about our new pets...our yard is a haven for frogs and all sizes of lizards, and they are SO much fun! Unfortunately our neighbors have chickens, so the roosters have been going off at about 4 every morning. Not so bad for me sometimes, since I am getting up at 4 to get ready for work...but Adam is cranky about it, and I am always threatening various forms of violence when I don't work. That and we found out from another neighbor (who is AWESOME) that "chicken guy" is kinda crazy, so we still have to figure out how we are going to go about taking care of it.
Other GREAT news....OUR HOUSEHOLD GOODS ARE HERE! Finally. So hopefully they will get delivered some time this week so we can unpack next weekend. That and it would be nice to have furniture and a bed for Nora to sleep on when she gets here next Monday (staying for three and a half weeks!!!)
So we we shortly be able to adequately accomdate visitors!
