Sorry it has taken me a week to post, but I had to wait until Adam got home to fix the pict resizer :) It was an AWESOME trip. We did EVERYTHING...wine country tour and tasting for a whole day, hiking through the Muir Wood Redwood National Park (and man oh man, do we miss real nature!!!), our hotel was right on Fisherman's Wharf, hiked 4 miles to eat at Panera (Adam loves me SOOOOOOOO much!!!), did the Japantown Cherry Blossom Festival (unfortunately, the cherry blossoms had already passed), Chinatown, the infamous Farmer's Market, and the Alcatraz Night Tour and Sunset Cruise.
Enjoy our picts from San Fran!
Us and the Golden Gate Bridge...it was cold in the mornings and hot in the afternoons...bipolar weather!
Me and the infamous Fisherman's Wharf sign...it was too big to fit us both in and not get hit by traffic
San Francisco at night from Alcatraz
Enjoy our picts from San Fran!
It was really nice to get away for a while and spend some relaxing time together! Adam stayed 4 more days than me for a work conference, and got to see awesome presentations by a famous author, and the MYTHBUSTERS! Yeah, I was a little jealous about that one. But it was great for me too, quality time with an awesome guy, Panera, and Woodchuck cider. Plus there was all of the amazing food we had!
So other big news, we put our house on the market.....no we are not in financial straights or anything like that...we just want out. Took much work, too much responsibilty, and we don't want to be stuck here when we do want to get out. It's funny...it seems like you are suppose to work so hard to attain all of these things...and we achieved it all, and found that we don't want it. Too much responsibilty at this time, we just want to relax, travel, and enjoy the Hawaiian life without all of the burdens. Maybe someday we will settle down :) but not right now.
Adam came home from spearfishing yesterday and I ended up having to take him to the hospital...he got speared by a fish he speared. Yall should have seen this fish...it had all of these crazy spike hidden in it's scale and around its fins! It was pretty awesome to see (but not the wound it caused). The fish made nice deep puncture wound that hit the bone, and made his hand nice and swollen. So my beloved (much to his annoyment) had to get a tetnus shot and is on 10 days of antibiotics. He asked me to nurse him (wanting a bandaid and a kiss) and I make him go to the hospital...really, what did he expect being married to an almost Nurse Pracitioner?!?!
Speaking of which... I am DONE DONE DONE DONE DONE with my research course, and rocked an A of course. Now I have to look forward to clinical from May 13th of this year until August of 2010. Fun times, I even have to go get a doctor's coat to wear...being all official and such.
Travel news: we are planning on making the annual NH/PA trip this year at Thanksgiving....starting in NH and ending up in PA so Adam can make it to camp for the big hunt this year. Unfortunately it will be a very brief trip for me, as I don't get a break from school, and have to come back for my clinical hours. But I get to go home for a week in June before I go to Philly for a midterm, so that will help!
And this is the longest blog in a long time...so I will leave it here, and catch up more later. I hope this finds everyone having a great week!
