My Aunt Elaine, cousin JJ, and his fiancee Carrie came to visit for a week and it was AWESOME!!!!
We literally did EVERYTHING except see Pali lookout, a jam packed and deliriously fun week!
I hadn't seen them since we moved away from Texas when I was 8, and it was like no time had been lost.
Me, Carrie, and JJ getting a surf lesson from Ray at Waikiki
My Aunt Elaine and us at the Byodo Temple in the Boolau Mountains
All of us at the Polynesian Cultural Center...I can't wait to go back there, it was AMAZING and we only saw half of it! It was a full days of touring the facility, a delicious luau dinner and show, followed by the most spectacular show EVER!
Some of the performers at the Center
A palm tree climber demonstrating the skill, look closely at the top of the tree (or click on the pict to make it bigger)
Me and Aunt Elaine (JJ and Carrie not pictured) learned how to hula dance
A canoe cruise down the canal at the Center
The most AWESOME show I have ever seen!!!!

Adam and JJ went spearfishing while the girl hit the swapmeet...Adam got his first Tako (octopus in Hawaiian)!!!! We gave it to the neighbors to eat. It is a common treat here...doesn't taste too bad, just a little chewy.
Us surfing...look at the smile on my face...it is the most wonderful feeling....
Everyone stands up, look at Carrie go, she stood up her second time out!!! She loved surfing...though the paddling is a b*tch.
That's my cousin looking so professional
And it's not as easy as he is making it look

It was truely amazing to reconnect with them after so long...and now we have a trip to Texas to plan!!!
