...is wonderful
Well, I am now 26, how crazy is that!?!? Thank you to everyone for the cards and well wishes, it was truly special despite being so far from home. Birthday weekend was a fantastic one as well... Saturday morning was spent trying to master the waves of Waikiki, and damn...surfing is a lot harder when you don't have an instructor telling you when to paddle and when to stand, and what waves are the ones worth trying for, but it is still SO much fun trying, and I did manage to get up once and ride in a little ways. After that we walked around Waikiki for a bit at the arts fair of the Aloha Festival going on, all before ending the day going out with people from my work.
Sunday of course started at 7 am at The Shack for the Steelers game...3-0 baby, and then we went up to the North Shore for the afternoon for a Polo tournament. It is such an interesting game to watch, people racing around on horses trying to get this little ball, all the while trying not to kill each other in the process. It was a nice time, people out having picnics and such, and they had a troupe of sky divers land at the end. God I want to go sky diving again!!!
Other than that, life pretty much revolves around work and working on the house. The front yard is currently half dug up, and are getting ready to cut out all of the trees. We also bought some palm trees for the back...how cool is that, we bought palm trees.
